A form of accidental death, dismemberment and disability insurance commonly sold at airports. Coverage is issued in conjunction with a common carrier (airline, train) ticket and is limited to travel periods during the trip. The term transportation ticket insurance was once used to describe this insurance, because coverage was provided in the form of an additional stub on the traveler's ticket.
